Dura-Fab Outer Cover: Do not bleach. Do not machine wash. Do not tumble dry. Line dry. Warm iron. Dry cleanable.
Steri-Plus Cover: It resists moisture, and is easily cleaned by wiping down with mild detergent warm water, and hung to dry. Wipe stains using a non-phenolic disinfectant in a diluted solution. Service Rating : I purchased this husband for my invalid immobile husband who sits all day in a recliner chair. He had developed a "bed sore" and this miracle pillow helped it heal quickly and no more problems. Highly recommend, no need for the expensive $800 version.....this therapeutic pillow is wonderful!

Do I get better pressure dispersion the more I pay for a seat cushion?
Not necessarily. Some people like an egg-carton foam surface, some a Memory foam surface, some latex, and some angled cushion. It's a matter of personal preference and the application.
Are these cushions also useful for general use such as for taking to sporting events, the theatre, car etc?
Yes, particularly the Diffuser Cushion with its combination of Memory foam and Traditional foam, and of course the Multi Purpose Cushion in pressure-dispersing egg-carton foam. Very handy, very comfortable!

Could you please tell me the density of this cushion
Hello Judy, The important issue with regards to the quality of the product is the weight of the foam being used in the cushion. This is usually based on the weight of a 1m x 1m x1m block of foam. The weight of this is 48kg in the case of the multipurpose cushion which means the cushion will not sag or give in over time and use. The hardness of the foam is a 30 in rating which means it is comfortable from the outset and will not get softer over the short to medium term. Hope this information is of help. Hello I have been looking at your coushins I'm not sure what cushion is right for my needs. I was told by my Dr that I had a slipped disc pushing on my nerve I also have exsesive pain in my bottom the right of my left buttock and top of leg. I can't sit for long I have spent a long time to recover but need something to protect that area. Please advice on what product if any that may help me get out of this bed.
Hi Sandy, I would probably recommend the diffuser cushion as the best product for all round support. It is a bit thicker than the multipurpose which is what i would recommend for you in this case. Also it is memory foam which i think would be of benefit.

Is it suitable for my Honda Jazz car seat . I need cushioning for my bottom and coccyx

I have been told that I need to use a WAFFLE cushion, is this cushion the same to prevent pressure sores where I sit? Also is there a cushion of about 50 x 50 cm?
The Multipurpose cushion may be helpful for this purpose but we cannot 100% guarantee that this will help prevent pressure sores. We would always suggest talking with your GP before making the purchase.This cushion is also 45cmx45cm.

I'm looking for the cushion for a wheelchair. The wheelchair is the extra large 24 inch wide seat (= 61 cm). We are currentluy hiring one and it's about 2.5 iches thick with textured faom which aids the prevention sores. Please advise if you have a suitable size and what the price would be. I wondered if the egg foam in the seat cushion resembles the one in the body hugger mattress topper.
The shape is very similar, but the foam has a higher density and higher resilience as it holds more body weight under the bottom than the body hugger does when someone is lying horizontally on it.

Is the steri-cover removable and washable? Can I slip an incontinence pad between the pillow and the cover? I need a discrete way to seat my mom at church. She leaks urine so badly she frequently wets the church chair. Thought this pad might look discrete enough to be a "walker"pad and look like a regular seat pad.
Hello, I dont think it will work for your requirement as the outside cover is waterproof and not permit leakage to get through to the pad i am sorry.
